Without any additional info (e.g. command line you have used) we will not be able to help you.

I'm sorry for that. In fact, I've used DOS to run the irserver in the Program Files\IRTrans:

irserver.exe -daemon -logfile inout.log -hexdump -loglevel 4 COM1

then I run the client:

irclient.exe localhost

and I can access the menu:

1. Send
2. Learn
3. Status

99. Exit

....

Of course the irtray was running at that time also.

irtranstray should NOT be running at the same time - you can only start one of those programms.

Instead of using irclient.exe I would suggest to use the GUI client - it is easier to use.

You can start the server on the command line - but do not use irclient.exe but the GUI Client instead.
The GUI Client support ALL options - irclient.exe not.

I have started the irserver in the DOS box (without running the irtranstray) by the following command:

irserver.exe -daemon COM1

Then I've run the GUI client (either from the Start Menu or GUIclient.exe command) but an error dialog appeared :

Microsoft .NET Framework

Unhandled excception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application wil ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application wil close immidiately.

Cannot connect to IRTrans Server.

So what should I do now?

Start the irserver ...

When you get this message the irserver is not running.

But I have started it by using :
irserver.exe -daemon COM1

It's wrong?

No idea - if the server is running you have a network problem on your PC.
Thousands are using that SW ...
