Pronto Hex Convert

Postby Chak » Sun 31. May 2009, 12:40

Hi all,
Search did not deliver the tool that I'm looking for.

I have lot of pronto Hex codes that I like to convert to Irtrans (Homeseer)

How can I do that?

example of this code
Humax PVR Power on

0000 006d 0000 0022 0150 00a8 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0666

You can enter the codes into a .rem file. The format is described in the IRTrans manual.

With homeseer that is a bit complicated as the codes need to learned through Homeseer so that HS knows the codes.
That means you will need to learn e.g. a dummy code through Homeseer and then replace this code with the CCF code.
In most cases it will be easier to learn the IR Codes directly, though.

I am able to see the remote title in IRClient but there are no commands listed. IRTranstray "send command" lists the remote and the commands but returns the following error on attempt. "IR Error: Specified remote command ['command name'] not found."

I have tested a few of the ccf codes by learning them in IRClient. Is there something incorrect in the following format?

[REMOTE]
[NAME]Int Zone 2

[COMMANDS]
[Standby] [ccf]0000 006D 0022 0002 0156 00AB 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 064B 0156 0055 0015 0E47
[Power On] [ccf]0000 006D 0022 0002 0156 00AB 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 0015 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 003F 0015 064B 0156 0055 0015 0E47

(I have only text values for the ccf codes I wish to use.)

To check the format we need to have the file itself.

You can append the .rem file to your post.

The first command is the same from example ccf.rem. The file works with the sample command [V+] in place, thought the commands don't seem to translate properly. They flash, but have no effect. Remove the sample command and no commands are found.

What exactly is the problem you have ?

The file does look OK, however it is impossible for us to further check that without having the device.

Hello,
Thanks for the quick answer.
I fact, the IRTrans device (USB) seems not sending any data (the led blink correctly red). I put another IRTrans device (USB) in front of first one to check and nothing is received.
I confirm that the hardware is ok by learning and sending back some code from a strandart remote : hardware is ok.
I read also in this forum that some other parameter can be added at the end of the command line in CCF format : 2 comma, l2, ...Is there anything to do here or is there for another use or device ?
Thanks and best regards
Chris.

Hi,
I had another look at your file. The carrier frequency defined in the file would be 63hz. As that does not make sense at all I suppose it is a Pronto code of some newer Pronto that we do not support. We do support the format of the RU-890, RU-940, RU-970, TS-1000, TSU-2000, TSU-6000, RC-5000, RC-5000i, RC-5200, RC-9200, RAV-2000, USR-5. We do not support Pronto NG and Pronto Neo Codes.
