troubleshoot a usb itrans module

hi, i've had a usb module for a while and recently i've noticed that it's not been working reliably. i plug it in and i get
the status led is green, then red, then nothing. i've switched usb cables, i've even plugged it into another
one of my macs (both macs are running 10.7.2) but it doesn't seem to work.

is there anything else i can do to troubleshoot this?

The Status LED Green/Red and then off is the standard behaviour of the device.

turns out that the ired2 installation was corrupted somehow and after re-installing and re-creating
the ir codes within ired2, everything still works.

thanks for telling me about the normal behavior of the status led, that information was hard to come by.
