Different codes for same command?

Postby koenti » Sat 22. Aug 2009, 20:34

Sometimes the commands of my RC (of Telenet Digicorder - variant of ADB decoder) are different (or seen different).

Example:
22:26:35 : 010303303212
22:26:47 : 010303303212
22:26:48 : 010303303212
22:26:51 : 010303303212
22:26:53 : 010303303212
22:26:55 : 010303303212
22:26:57 : 010303303212
22:27:00 : 010403403215010403303212
22:27:33 : 010303303212
22:27:34 : 010303303215010303303214

These are all the same command and are all valid because my decoder reacts on (IRTrans device receives the code & resend it with his Local IR + decoder can't see direct IR from RC).

Problem is that the commands are translated wrong when trained with 010303303212. is this normal and how can I solve this?

Hi,
this happens, when the remote button is pressed a bit longer - the code is repeated after a short delay.

You can try to use a shorter IR Timeout - that might fix this.

Which firmware version does your IRTrans device have ?

Firmware: IRTrans LAN: IR VER: E6.03.32 ETH VER: L1.07.24 SN: 42471

I reduced the "IR Receive TimeOut" from 90ms to 50ms via Device Status.

Thanks for your feedback...
Ps: is it normal that the same RC uses different timings?

It does not happen very often but sometimes a remote uses different timings for different commands.

As the remote seems to use a repeat pause of around 89ms a IR timeout off 80 or 85ms should be sufficient.

You might also try to set the precision parameter in the device settings to a higher value. However, please note that a too large value will make recoginition of the commands impossible.
