upc remoter

Postby bjeric » Tue 11. Aug 2009, 09:31

Hello there,

I'm trying to use IRTrans LAN Controller XL to learn a UPC STB remoter. And I've tried several learning modes (normal, RAW) but STB still doesn't accept the commands. Anything else i can try?

Could you please post the .rem file (as an attachement).

Please post a file that was NOT learned using RAW format.

Hmm, that file looks strange indeed - timings and code do not really fit.

Could you try it again with a new file to see if the result still looks like that ?

Could you in addition post a RAW file for the same buttons (one or two will be enough).

Hello,

I tried in normal mode two times, 'UPC_Normal.rem' and 'UPC_Normal2.rem'. It seems that both the timing and key data are changed. Also I have attached the remote databases learned in RAW mode and Timing mode, 'UPC_RAW.rem' and 'UPC_Timing.rem'. Hope you help to resolve the problem.

BTW, I was use the Send Command to verify the results. I think the command is sent from Internal LED (front panel), right?

Hi,
which firmware and software versions are you using ?

These are RCMM codes - they are sometimes used with a toggle bit. Current firmware versions support this togglebit so that sending should work then.
Furthermore some RCMM receivers need a different IR Duty cycle on sending. That is supported by our current FW versions, too.

I am using IRTrans LAN Control XL. IRServer Version 6.02.23 and IR VER: E6.03.25

Could you show me how to config the Device and learn the commands step by steps?
1. Set parameters for UPC remoter in Device Status dialog.
2. How to lean the IR commands for this UPC Remoter

Thanks in advance.

To enable the RCMM Togglebit:

1. Start the irserver SW
2. Open the IRTrans GUI Client
3. Go to the "IR Codes" page and check "RCMM Toggelbit"
4. Click on "Set Mode"

When learning the RCMM codes please use the universal learning receiver (if your IRTrans device has got one).
Otherwise make sure that you keep at least 0,3-0,5m distance from the IRTrans device when learning.

You can also try to enable "Force RCMM Detection" directly above the Toggle bit selection.

Please note that RAW Codes will never work because they do not support Toggle bits.
