I have send the email to your support. I need your help....., I hope that the new firmware comes soon.......
Another quest about running irtrans USB as server as soon as the linux start up, I find the error in irserver.log is "could not open ip socket ".
Could you give me some advice about how to run the server automatically. where to write the "/usr/local/irtrans/irserver -daemon /dev/ttyUSB0"??????

We will email you the firmwareupdate today.

Regarding the startup problem: You will need to make sure that the irserver is started after everything else (especially TCP/IP) is already running.
How that is done depends on your LINUX system.

Hello:
I have updated the firmware successfully to E6.03.25, now the irtrans xl can control the sky+ STB successfully,
But I want to the IRTrans xl to send command to control a pc connected to a IRtrans USB, I found the led on the IRtrans USB blinking when receiving the command, but the PC had no response to the command.
The .rem data base has been tested well.
And I used another IRtrans XL(firmware version is E5.11.10 ) to send the command in the same .rem file, the STB and the PC (connected to the IRtrans USB) work well completely.
I think whether there is another problem in the firmware E6.03.25 to cooperate with the IRTrans USB????

There is no known problem with the FW 6.03.25.

To find out why the codes are not received correctly we need more information:

- We need the .rem file that is not recognized by the USB device
- Which firmware version has the USB device
- What does the irserver with the USB device show when it is running with the -debug_code option
- Are you using the internal transmitters of the XL or an external one

hello, thank you for your help! I do the test as below
0. The firmware version is 6.03.25
1.The STB is connected with the IR OUT 1, the IRTrans USB(as a receiver) and with IR OUT3 and all the other IR OUT are empty.
2. "internal LEDs active and external LEDs active" are set, the external LEDs active must be set, or the IRTrans USB has no response and only the STB has response.
3. The .rem file has been written as above.
4. I send the command "irclient 10.85.7.118 skyremote 0 0 0"
5. Both the STB and IRTrans USB have responses.
6. I send the command "irclient 10.85.7.118 skyremote 0 0 1"
7. None of the STB and IRTrans USB has response.
8. I send the command "irclient 10.85.7.118 skyremote 0 0 2"
9. Both the STB and IRTrans USB have responses.
Do you think that setting is right? And how can I control the devices separately??
I think it correct that only one device(IR OUT 1 or IR OUT 2 or IR OUT 3) has response, is that right???
I find that <sendmask> is Sendmask on the serial bus(0 selects all devices), what are the all devices? LED 1- LED 8???
<bus> bus number(0=1st device...) what is bus???
<led> LED selection(i=internal, e=external, 1-8=LED number) what is the relation between this and the setting above(internal LEDs active, external LEDS active)?? I think that 1-8 are the IR OUT 1-8 ??

OK, I think we have found the problem:

Addressing of the LEDs with the ASCII Client works as follows:

0 : Default
1 : Internal LEDs
2 : External LEDs (All external LEDs)
3 : All LEDs (Internal + All External)
4 : External LED 1
5 : External LED 2
6 : External LED 3
7 : External LED 4
8 : External LED 5

And so on ...

OK, thank you for your help! I will try it today!!

Could tell me what is internal LEDS and external LEDs?
what 's the defference between them ?
If I want to control IRTrans XL LED independently, which kind of the LEDs(internal or external) should be used???
thank you very much!!!

Very simple: The internal LEDs are the integrated High Power IR Blasters while the exernal LEDs are the LEDs that are connected via the 3.5mm sockets.

That means you will need to control the external ones.
