Feller Beamit

I wonder if the IRTrans HF version will work with Feller Beamit. As far as I know, Beamit uses codes with a ~455khz carrier, but unfortunately there is not much information available about them. I'd like to control Beamit devices from a computer and - via IRTrans Translator - from an ordinary remote control. As I do not own one of the models capable of learning HF codes yet, I cannot just try out.

Has someone already tried and can tell us about the results?

Hi,
HF devices will be able to learn the Feller codes. You are right, they have 455kHz.

When translating these codes you need to keep in mind that it is not possible to translate a long button press.
The reason is that the IRTrans cannot Receive and Send at the same time (that is physically not possible).
Therefore there will be interruptions in the translated IR Codes.

Great, thanks a lot for answering so quickly.

I assume, this means that I can switch on/off lights and use programmed scenes via the Translator, but not dim lights individually since this requires holding buttons. That is no problem for me.

Correct, dimming is a problem that way.
