irserver and linux

Hi !

Im using Ubuntu and when i download and install "http://www.irtrans.de/download/Server/Linux/irserver.tar.gz" and then run "sudo /usr/local/irtrans/irserver -loglevel 4 -codedump /dev/ttyUSB0" i get this:

what does "Segmentation fault" means? and how can i get this to work ?

That means that the programm crashes ...

No idea why - on our test systems it is working.

Maybe there is a corrupt .rem file in the remotes folder. You might try to delete the files step by step to see where the problem is.

I run ubuntu ,what linux dist do u run your test system on ?

We have tested it on 3 different Open SUSE distributions (including x86 and x64).

hi again , i have now tested to delete all other .rem files ,but not irtrans.rem

and then i run : "sudo /usr/local/irtrans/irserver -loglevel 4 -codedump /dev/ttyUSB0"

..and then nothing happends. Should i been able to get some respons i that windows when use the remote or ?
I have to hit CTRL + C to exit back to terminal.

That looks good.

To get the received IR Codes you will need to use the option -debug_code.

Thanks ,now u only got it to work with xbmc ,but thats an other problem ;)
