Error sending to USB slave module.

Postby tonlof » Wed 30. Mar 2011, 15:46

Hi, I have use the master USB irtrans module for long time with external diods.

I have now connect a second module on the bus and have connected a cable (1,2,3 of the minidin) and have a dc 12volt power to usb module power jack so I think is okey setup. The green led is blinking when SBUS is talking.

My problem is to send a command on the second module.

Any suggestions?

Hi,
to address more than one device on a bus you will need to use the Device ID / Sendmask.

The Device ID is 3 / the Sendmask would be 8. If you want to send to both devices you can use the Sendmask 9.

Thanks for for your reply but I am not sure if I understand.
I have change the sendmask on both units.

The main reason is to send to different room from HomeSeer. I have set Viasat to Zone 3

Hi,
you do not need to send the sendmask of the devices - the sendmask in the devicesettings only controls IR relaying (repeating).

You do need to set the sendmask when sendig IR codes.

No idea how that is done within Homeseer. You should consult the plugin documentation.
