I use the irserver with Lan I/O with 4 leds for couple of years.
Today I was learning some daikin ir commands. Nothing new, I did this a lot in the past.
Suddenly I got the windows message - this app is not responding. Close the app.
Since then the irtrans refuses to work anymore. I get the error: Error binding socket...Abort [0]
Restart does not help.
Any idea Marcus?

Ok, I solved it. I had to reboot the router and to delete the last remote I was learning. From some reason, the last commands were written with error in the remote file.

The mentioned error: "Error binding socket" happens when the IRServer is not able to bind to the UDP/TCP port. This usually means that an instance of the irserver is already running on that port or some other software is currently using it. In your case I suppose the IRServer crashed due to the erroneous remote file.
