RS232

Postby phgelin » Wed 30. Nov 2011, 23:30

Dear all,

I have recently purchase the IRTrans Ethernet IRDB
as well as an Active RS232 Cable to be able to connect my IRTRans with a LG TV

However, each time I try to send a code

*.rem excerpt:

[COMMANDS]
[power-rs232][RS232]ka 0 0\r\n

I got a:

"41-2 IR Error: No IRTrans Device with AUX RS232 port connected."

While it somehow make sense as I do not have a AUX RS232 port connected,

I have this "new "RS232 Cable connected to one of the IR external plug.

Would you have any clue on what I am doing wrong here ?

Thanks in advance,

Philippe.

Hi,
you need to activate the RS232 output using the GUI Client.

On the first Tab Page you can activate the RS232 port for either the IR Input (next to the IR LEDs) or the IR Output (next to the power connector).

Once you have stored the settings you can set the Baudrate and parameters of the RS32 output using the "RS232" Tab.
